There’s a particular kind of moment that happens when different streams begin to converge—when poetry, scripture, testimony, and wonder all seem to be circling the same fire from different directions. This month’s issue feels like one of those times.
In Elisha’s Riddle, we continue our journey through The Song of the Universe with “The Real Meaning of Bethlehem’s Star.” What begins as astronomical beauty quickly becomes something more intimate—a sign not only in the heavens, but in the human heart.
We’re also introducing the first chapter of a new serialized work, Between You and Me, from Waylon Woody!! It is memoir, but not confined to chronology. It moves with a poetic honesty that resists polishing away the tension of lived experience. There is something refreshingly unguarded here and I’m looking forward to how this journey unfolds.
From C. David Baker, The Walking Stick Journal returns with a striking new installment: “A Paradox of God, a Cow, and an Elf.” This wild intersection of a title spills onto a highway of deep reflection on suffering and hope.
We also continue the unfolding of The Seven Spirits of God series where “Counsel and Might” are brought together in a way that reshapes how we think about divine wisdom and strength.
And finally, Dylan offers a pastoral and grounding word in “The Goal of the Father.” It is simple in tone, but weighty in its invitation, calling us again to re-center on what God is ultimately after in His work with humanity.
Taken together, this issue feels less like a collection of separate pieces and more like a conversation—one that keeps circling back to the same invitation: to see more clearly, to listen more deeply, and to recognize the presence of God in places both expected and surprising.
