The Trinity, Hollywood, and Space Travel

This week…

A revelation of the Trinity coming to a theater near you, and good news regarding teen substance abuse.

Hollywood, the Trinity, and Restoration

This week the film Collateral Beauty starring Will Smith hits theaters. The story centers around a man who suffers a great tragedy (his young daughter dies) and ends up meeting three mysterious characters named Time, Love, and Death who help him find hope and meaning in the midst of his pain.

What’s interesting about this is that just this week the first trailers of the upcoming movie The Shack were also released. The Shack is based upon the bestselling novel by William Paul Young which is about a man who also tragically loses his daughter and ends up meeting the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Through this encounter, the main character finds an unbelievable measure of healing and redemption in his life.

The first film has absolutely no natural connection to The Shack, and was produced by a totally different studio. However, in the Spirit, these things are deeply connected. God is reaching out to the world in a powerful way at this juncture of time with a plan to minister healing and restoration to millions of people who have suffered grief and trauma, whether on the individual or national scale. He is also sending the message of His nature as Relationship/Family (the Trinity) like never before.

A decline in teen drug use

The director of the National Institute on Drug Abuse said that there was “very, very good news” regarding a major survey that just came out. The survey measured teen use of illicit drugs across the country (including tobacco, alcohol, marijuana, and prescription drugs). Thankfully, drug use has shown a steady decline in recent years and this year was no different. While adults show an increase in heroin and opoid use, surprisingly, an opposite trend appears to be occurring amongst adolescents. (Teenage sexual activity and pregnancy also continues to show a steady decline as well.)

We share this because there’s a lot of negativity and cynicism over the culture and the upcoming generation. May God clear the fog and release a new hope regarding this generation with a confident expectation of change that will fuel stronger mentoring and more hope-filled prayer toward the youth of our nation and beyond.

The electromagnetic engine

A team of NASA scientists believe they have demonstrated the possibility of creating an “EM Drive.” This is a famous hypothetical system of propulsion that wouldn’t have to use rocket fuel (or any other type of traditional propellant) to launch a craft. Instead it just uses light waves (microwaves to be exact), which bounce back and forth in a vacuum to get movement.

The details are too complicated to go into here, but if this technology is proven valid, it would revolutionize everything from space travel to energy production. Such an engine could be used to get to Mars and even the outer solar system very quickly…and inexpensively. Space exploration would exponentially increase while new forms of power generation would hit the earth.

The problem is, this type of engine totally violates Newton’s laws of motion (as we understand them). Therefore, many people in the scientific community have shown a great deal of skepticism and think something is amiss in the study. Future experiments will definitely need to take place. But if this does prove true, our understanding of physics will dramatically change–as well as our technology and our knowledge of the universe.

Note: Recently, a beloved prophetic voice named Kim Clement passed away. Kim was known for prophesying about a game-changing source of energy that would be released in the world and would revolutionize the US economy as well as other areas of society. He often called it the Big “E.” While we can’t yet say there’s a connection to the EmDrive just yet, the timing of this news is interesting. Either way, the journey toward energy revolution is speeding up and change is on the horizon.
